Damn Is There Anybody Who ISN'T Disappointed In President Elect Barack Obama?

Now according to The Hill the Congressional Black Caucus has weighed in with their two cents.

“Did the African-American community probably expect more appointees at that level? Probably so,” said Rep. Danny Davis (D-Ill.), an early Obama supporter who has expressed an interest in filling Obama’s vacant Senate seat.

Davis said he was pleased with Obama's Cabinet, but confirmed that there is some angst within the CBC.

“On balance, I’d say a great deal of thought went into the shaping of this Cabinet,” Davis told The Hill. “And he ended up with a real rainbow. But some people, sure, thought there should be a bit more color in it.”

Another senior member of the CBC who requested anonymity said more pointedly that Obama “isn’t doing enough for the black folks.”

My honest response to the CBC is sometimes its better just to shut the fuck up. Seriously. They are perpetrating the very same meme that every white Republican pushes about black folks and affirmative action. Can we just call a moratorium for the next 30 days or so on ignant ass people spouting off about what they are disappointed about before Obama has even taken office? The CBC should be worried about keeping their own frikkin house in order for once than worrying about how many black folks the first black President in our nation's history has chosen for his cabinet.

  1. Everyone's got their hand out. Folks are going to be disappointed. I agree that people need to give it a rest, mainly because the man isn't even President yet. Lord knows where he's gonna drop that stimulus package, maybe black folks will get jobs or something.

  2. Obama's not thinking about their petty games. He's got bigger fish to fry.
