Appearing this morning on "Face The Nation" Rahm Emanuel did a great job defending President Obama's budget against Bob Scheiffer who seemed to be reading his questions off a right wing blog. Sheiffer repeatedly started his questions with "Some Republicans say..." I swear it was infuriating. But it was gratifying to see Scheiffler grow more and more frustrated that Rahm kept shooting down his questions by reminding him who got our country into this mess in the first place. But the best part of the interview was near the end when Rahm brought up Rush Limbaugh and then proceeded to annoint him the leader of the Republican Party. I am beginning to wonder if maybe Rahm didn't plan this all out from the get go. Was he the one that recommended that President Obama go after Republicans who were listening to Rush Limbaugh ? I don't know for sure but I do know that whomever came up with that line of attack is a genius and in the end while it might give Rush a few more listeners, its going to cost Congressional Republicans a lot more votes. I will take that trade off any day!
