Kimbo Slice Is A Wuss

Now Kimbo says he wants to do boxing instead of MMA because "its easier". I guess he isn't the beast many thought he was.

  1. Put gloves on him and you mitigate his punching power.

  2. Besides that he will never be disciplined enough to get in good enough shape to fight for 10 rounds. He will gas after a round or two and get his ass knocked out. That he admitted that he wanted to go to boxing because he thinks its easier just shows he really doesn't have heart if you ask me.

  3. Is this a joke? A non title MMA fight is 12 minutes an AMATEUR boxing match is 8 minutes (at least in MN). And he thinks his outta shape for MMA tail can just 'make' the transition.

I'd be surprised if Slice ever recorded a 6 minute mile in his life, let alone 2 or 5. MMA, I love it for entertainment but from a skill perspective give me a break!

  4. I agree with you on the cardio issue but I have to correct you that non title MMA bouts are three 5 minute rounds which is 15 minutes. I will also tell you that right now the skill level of the UFC and even in some respects the WEC and the Showtime MMA shows is higher than all but the super fights in boxing. I would take an under card bout at a UFC PPV over most Main Events for a boxing PPV and I am not talking about entertainment, I am talking about skills. Seeing guys of all shapes and sizes transition from throwing punches to a submission moves is truly beautiful. Besides that MMA artists have to be able to use damn near every part of their body if they plan on getting to the top. This isn't the old time MMA. Most of these cats are either former All American wrestlers or long time juijitsu/Muay Thai masters. I can't think of a heavyweight boxer that I would pay to watch right now or even a light heavy. And even some of the cats in welterweight aren't really all that skilled but are just exciting. It isn't a good thing when Sugar Shane Mosely is still one of the best fighters in that range of weight classes.
