Yesterday President Obama was asked a question at his townhall about how important it will be to have a health care reform bill be bipartisan if Republicans flat out refuse to be a productive part of the process. Here is part of his response:
Now, I think that there are some of my Republican friends on Capitol Hill who are sincerely trying to figure out if they can find a health care bill that works -- Chuck Grassley of Iowa, Mike Enzi of Wyoming, Olympia Snowe from Maine have been -- (applause) -- yes, I got to admit I like Olympia, too. (Laughter.) They are diligently working to see if they can come up with a plan that could get both Republican and Democratic support.
Now after saying that yesterday this is what Senator Grassley, who supposedly is "sincerely trying to figure out" if he can find a health care bill that works had to say about the bogus assed "death panels" first proposed by Sarah Palin.
I DON'T WANT TO HEAR ANOTHER GOTDAMNED WORD ABOUT BIPARTISANSHIP!
President Obama needs to drop the act and go right at these assholes from now on and put Grassley's punk ass on the spot. There are no more Republicans working in good faith and the sooner he acknowledges that the sooner we can move on health care reform legislation. That's what a real leader would do and that's what needs to happen like yesterday.
