Where Is Your Outrage

I understand as a Christian that not all of us believe the same things and we definitely don't all practice the same politics. But at our core there should still be some things that bind us together. How the Religious Right can now turn a deaf ear and a blind eye to all of the exhortations of violence against President Obama through the use of a perversion of the Bible is beyond me. I had many many problems with George W. Bush. I wanted and still want him to be investigated and thrown in jail.



I have never and would never say anything that could be construed as advocating violence against him and I wouldn't sit by silently while someone around me did. I can only pray that none of the nutcases out there actually act on these dogwhistles, but if they do make any attempts whether successful or not, those Religious Righters are gonna have to look long and hard in the mirror.



I have a feeling that they won't like what they see...

Then she calmly, carefully and politely connected Americans For Prosperity and their President, Tim Phillips, with this astroturfing effort and with catering to the religious right. If you pay attention you will actually see near the end of the interview where realizes that he has said too much and tries to call what she is doing gotcha journalism, but by that point it the cat was already out of the bag. I think he was thrown off because she was so mild mannered when asking him tough questions. So she came off as friendly all the while she was pulling negative information out of him. That's some top notch work righ there! She deserves an award for her reporting on this issue.

Congressional Conservative Christians On Parade

This C-Street story just keeps getting better and better lol...

In an "alienation of affection" lawsuit, former Rep. Charles W. Pickering Jr.'s estranged wife, Leisha, alleges that he carried on an extramarital affair with a onetime college sweetheart while he lived at a house at 133 C Street in Southeast Washington. Sen. John Ensign, R-Nev., and Gov. Mark Sanford, R-S.C., both of whom admitted to cheating on their wives in recent weeks, are members of the Christian fellowship of lawmakers known as "C Street" for the address of the house where several of the members live at any given time.

Leisha Pickering alleges that some of the "wrongful conduct" on the part of the woman accused of breaking up the Pickering marriage "occurred and accrued" in Washington, D.C., "at the C Street Complex."

Banging your mistress at the "House of Holy Rollers" is what I call upping the ante. What's next, stories of wild orgies?

You have GOT to watch this clip from the Rachel Maddow show about this creepy group known as "The Family" which several of the big time religous right, Republican Congressmen (including recently exposed adulterers John Ensign and Mark Sanford)are members of. I think calling it a cult would be an insult to cults.

If this is true then what they believe in has absolutely NOTHING to do with Christianity. What kind of sick bastard thinks that even if one of those pricks were a pedophile rapist that they were still good people because they were "chosen". This just screams for an investigation or at the very least for the story to go viral. People need to know just what kind of reprehensible perverters of religion they are voting for. Every Once In A While...

This is what pisses me off about Chris Matthews. About once or twice a week he can lay the smackdown as he did today to Mike Pence like nobody's business. But then the rest of the time he is damn near a blithering idiot. I swear man every time I am close to totally writing him off he will pull an interview like this out of his ass. The way he exposed Congressman Pence as a fundamentalist bible thumping, anti-science, anti-progress, anti green energy, wingnutastic buffoon was just masterful. By the end of the interview you just knew that Pence was going to whup whomever booked him on that show's ass big time. Dammit Tweety can we get this out of you on more of a regular basis? Sheesh.
