Should Be Fun Times At CPAC This Year

The company that a person keeps says a lot about them. Some folks should remember that when they chose to join forces with avowed right wingers. If you think Club For Growth won't be front and center at the John Birch cosponsored CPAC conference this year, you are nucking futs!

With Grover Norquist? You Have Bumped Your Fucking Head

Jane Hamsher has decided that she is so pissed off about health care reform that she is willing to not only go on FoxNews but to also team up with that right wing asshole cretin who doesn't give a shit about the poor or needy in this country, Grover Norquist, in order to go after her white whale, Rahm Emmanual.

Seriously.

Well my little shitty blog doesn't have a big readership or anything but I will tell you this, FireDogLake is now off my blog roll, I will never EVER link to any of Jane Hamsher's bullshit or anything else there aside from Spencer Ackerman again, and I personally hope every single person aligned with her abandons her ass over this bullshit. She has now allowed her anger to turn her into a bitter person with the same lack of morals that she used to decry in right wingers. I don't have any use for that kind of person on my side of the fence. I hope she enjoys her time in the land of irrelevancy as she has definitely earned it now. And what I really hope is true liberals and progressives extract themselves from her kind of poisonous bullshit before they get sucked in much further. There ain't a got damn thing on earth that would get me to join forces with someone like Grover Norquist and for that matter anybody who would see in him an ally on any issue.

This shit has gone way too far now and at some point, somebody close to Jane Hamsher who actually gives a shit about her needs to give her stage an intervention. And I am dead serious about that.

This Is Where I Get Off The Train

Jane Hamsher has been a tireless advocate and activist for health care reform and I appreciate her efforts. But she has jumped into crazy land now and I for one am not going with her. It started last week when she tried to link the people on the left criticizing the Senate health care reform bill with the tea baggers. I don't have a fucking thing in common with those assholes and wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire. Now she has gone on Fox And Friends because of course they want to use her to show "even the leftist libruls hate this bill". You know, I am pretty sure that last year she and the rest of the crew over at FDL were pressuring Democratic candidates for President not to go on FoxNews at all. But now, when she has a criticism of the bill its ok for HER to go on that fucked up extremist, and in some respects dangerous network?

Welp, FUCK THAT.

I am still very dissappointed in that bill and I think its going to really bite Democrats in the ass next year in the midterms, but I will be got damn if I align with the other side just to try to kill the bill. When you have to go that far then its time to look in the mirror and reassess just what it is you are fighting for, or against, in my opinion. I doubt if she will actually do that, but I encourage those who have been following her lead up to this point to engage in some soul searching. Is that kind of shit really what you think progressives really should be about?

I don't.

On My Tee Vee

Just now Mike Stark of firedoglake was on MSNBC went up against wingnut Tim Carney over this latest faux controversy of these school kids singing a song praising President Obama and Stark straight up smashed Carney, especially when he went to that favorite right wing move of feigning indignation over Stark using the term teabagger.

I am crossing my fingers hoping that somebody posts a video of the exchange because it was a beautiful thing. Truly

Fringe Worthy

It is both ridiculous and hilarious that elected members of Congress are so cowed by their fringe base that they have to run away (sometimes literally) from admitting that President Obama is a natural born citizen.

Trust me, after they lose again next year its only going to get worse.
