In an "alienation of affection" lawsuit, former Rep. Charles W. Pickering Jr.'s estranged wife, Leisha, alleges that he carried on an extramarital affair with a onetime college sweetheart while he lived at a house at 133 C Street in Southeast Washington. Sen. John Ensign, R-Nev., and Gov. Mark Sanford, R-S.C., both of whom admitted to cheating on their wives in recent weeks, are members of the Christian fellowship of lawmakers known as "C Street" for the address of the house where several of the members live at any given time.

Leisha Pickering alleges that some of the "wrongful conduct" on the part of the woman accused of breaking up the Pickering marriage "occurred and accrued" in Washington, D.C., "at the C Street Complex."

You have GOT to watch this clip from the Rachel Maddow show about this creepy group known as "The Family" which several of the big time religous right, Republican Congressmen (including recently exposed adulterers John Ensign and Mark Sanford)are members of. I think calling it a cult would be an insult to cults.

If this is true then what they believe in has absolutely NOTHING to do with Christianity. What kind of sick bastard thinks that even if one of those pricks were a pedophile rapist that they were still good people because they were "chosen". This just screams for an investigation or at the very least for the story to go viral. People need to know just what kind of reprehensible perverters of religion they are voting for.
