It is stunning that 30 Republican Senators voted against Al Franken's amendment to reign in private contractors that try to cover up rape. So stunning that I think this vote will come up a lot next year. Hats off to Franken for quietly working on legislation that addresses a real problem for many women employed by these private contractors.

Update: If 2 out of the three asshats who voted against Schumer's amendment had voted yes then it would have moved out of committee. And that includes Max Baucus who SAYS he is for a public option but just can't find a way to vote for it. Blanche Lincoln can cancel christmas. She is toast!
