Well at least he was there today to connect the dots from the cop shooting in Pittsburgh to the hate talk from the wingnuts on Tee Vee and radio. And he pretty much sent the 2nd Amendment guy running home with his tail between his legs. Good on him for that and good on Charles Blow for calling the guy's argument "laughable".

This was yet another lackluster job by David Shuster. His guest did a better job. The bulk of the interview/panel was the nutjob talking over David or David talking over the nutjob. David may have asked some pointed questions but rarely did he reasonably refute the answer.
ReplyDeleteInterviewing someone is not about shouting someone down. Its about pointing out the fallacies of their arguments which Shuster did a great job of. Yeah I guess he could be more like Chris Matthews and then he would let guests say whatever in the hell they wanted to and only shout them down if they happened to be incorrect about something that happened 40 years ago. Personally I would much rather have a guy who calls a spade a spade and wins arguments based on substance not yelling but to each his own.
